The US Justice Department issued a press release on Friday announcing FCA US LLC’s entry of a guilty plea for felony criminal conspiracy. FCA plead guilty to defrauding U.S. regulators and customers with false and misleading representations about its emissions control systems on its Jeep Grand Cherokee and Ram 1500 diesel vehicles for model years 2014, 2015, and 2016. FCA will pay a criminal fine of $96,145,784 and will forfeit $203,572,892 for defrauding consumers, committing wire fraud and violating the Clean Air Act.
